Fête De La Musique

Venue Information

Fête de la Musique Brisbane is all about making music everywhere. The aim is to have free music in as many different locations as possible, particularly in spaces where it is not often found. In 2008, over 30 performance locations throughout Brisbane were registered with Fête de la Musique.

Being a Fête de la Musique Brisbane venue is a big deal. It is the venue’s responsibility to make sure the performers are well looked after on the day and to help spread the word about the event.

The Fête de la Musique Brisbane Event Team is there to provide support and advice along the way. They will help link venues with suitable acts and to promote the day far and wide.

So far, prospective venues for Fête de la Musique Brisbane in 2009 include the South Bank Parklands, Palace Cinemas, Brisbane Powerhouse, the Queen Street Mall, the Brunswick Street Mall, various suburban shopping centres, local parks and many more.

If you have an idea to give a performance in your venue, great! Please email fetedelamusique@brisbane.qld.gov.au to request a venue information pack. Don’t forget that you can certainly have more than one performance on the day – it is up to you!
